COVID-19 Masks

We initially bought 400 masks in June and we distributed additional 4600 masks donated by the Grupo Carvacaro SA in August. The 5000 masks were distributed to all the poor families in the Troncal del Caribe from Santa-Marta to Marquetalia Magdalena, in order to prevent a spread of the COVID-19 pandemics.  More than 40 villages, including the Indian communities Arhuaco and Koggi, benefited from the distribution of the masks through our foundation. We also gave 550 additional masks to the young soldiers who constantly move within the same geographic area.  Many thanks to Mr. Raúl Caro, CEO of Grupo CARVACARO SA, for this important donation and to our employee Diomedes Sanguino, who personally delivered the masks to each family in Marquetalia and also organized the distribution in the Troncal del Caribe.
