ALLIANCE BETWEEN AMA AND THE DENIS HEILPORN FOUNDATION
Our Foundation was linked in September with the Belgian Association AMA (Supports Mothers who Help). Thanks to the great work of these Colombian mothers, residing in Belgium, we are promoting a solidarity campaign, the objective of which is to collect as much money as possible for the purchase of food. To this end, AMA is currently organizing sports activities and the sale of used clothing.
COVID-19 Food delivery
Thanks to your ‘adopt a family’ donations, our foundations managed to deliver the food boxes to a total of 60 families (248 persons) from April to June 2020. Our foundation also managed to continue the delivery to all these families from July to September 2020; until now 480 boxes have been delivered.
COVID-19 Masks
We initially bought 400 masks in June and we distributed additional 4600 masks donated by the Grupo Carvacaro SA in August.
Fifth food box delivery
We would like to share with you our new video from the 5th delivery. Since April 2020, we have been delivering every 2 weeks food to 60 families with kids (248 persons), which corresponds to 300 boxes.
Fourth food box delivery
Off the international spotlight, Colombia is still fighting against increasing numbers in COVID-19 cases. Tourism is inexistent in the north of Colombia leading to broken supply chains for the local communities. After almost three months since the outbreak the situation is still critical. We are happy to inform that we were able to distribute food boxes to 60 families with a total of 248 individuals for the fourth time. Furthermore, we provided 400 masks to the people in order to enable a safe social life.
Third food box delivery
Today we were able to distribute the third delivery of food boxes. We continue to give boxes of food among the people in very precarious conditions, including homeless immigrants from Venezuela. Our sole employee Diomedes Sanguino made a great effort to reach all families in need. The Colombian Army is still supporting us with the logistics and the transport.
